    A Note From Victoria

    Just a Little About Me:

    Hello Everyone!

I was born and raised right here in the great state of Maine. I got my CNA out of high school and was set out to become a midwife and get my nursing degree. After several years in the medical professions as a CNA and working with many health professionals, I realized that my talents could be utilized else-where within the world of holistic medicine/health. I became certified in Reiki levels one and two while on my way to getting a Bachelor's degree majoring in Health Sciences with a Wellness Track and a minor in Holistic Health.

I want to serve my community in the best way I know how. That drive and passion led me to becoming a certified Labor/Postpartum and Infant Care Doula through Prodoula. I want to empower moms to have the best birthing experience that they can and I want to be there for the mom through all of the good, the not so good, and everything in between. My goal is to walk side by side with mothers and their partners to support them emotionally, mentally, and physicially as they take this unique journey. Together, the mom, partner, and I can create a birth plan designed specifically to their wishes for their birthing experience and then journey into the transition to parenthood once their little one had arrived.

If having a doula present during your pregnancy, birth, and/or postpartum period is something that you want to know more about, please reach out! I am more than happy to answer any questions.

    Many blessings,

    Victoria Almeder

  • Make Your Birthing Experience

    YOUR OWN

Becoming a mother is not just a sentence, it's an experience that is like no other. That experience should be about the mom and what she envisions her own birth plan to be; whether this means birthing at home or at a hospital, epidural versus no epidural, even down to having lit candles in your birthing room. The point is simply that what may look like a perfect birth plan to one mom, may look very different for another.

A labor doula's job is to focus on mom and be there as a resource of comfort, empowerment, support, advice, and put her in charge of her own birthing experience...

THIS is the goal here at Doula & More.
